Downton Abbey Without Zombies

Though I remain firmly convinced that the Masterpiece Drama Downton Abbey would benefit from the addition of a few walkers, I am looking forward to tonight’s season five premiere. In December, I visited Delaware’s DuPont Winterthur Museum to see the Costumes of Downton Abbey Exhibit.

The gowns and hunting jackets were all in excellent condition, largely due to the absence of zombies roaming the Yorkshire countryside. Alas, one can only dream of the zingers the Dowager would quip at the sight of a re-animated Mrs. Crawley. Maybe something along the lines of, “First the Labor Party, now the apocalypse. Sometimes I feel as if I’m living in an H.P. Lovecraft novel.”

Anyway, here are some pics from the exhibit.
